Sean Dimin fell in love with fish at a young age. It wasn’t just the ocean and the wonder of marine life he fell for, but also the people and places that connect the rest of us to the sea. After learning the ropes on fishing boats and living in fishing communities, Sean founded Sea to Table with his father and brothers.
We’ve spent years developing relationships with docks on every U.S. coast, creating better markets for their catch by delivering fresh fish overnight to chefs across the country. Now that he has a young family of his own, Sean has taken what he learned from fishing and working with fishermen to heart: Take care of your catch and feed your family the best. Our home delivery was started so that families across the United States can enjoy the very best catch.
B Corporations are a new kind of company which uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. Certified B Corporations meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Sea to Table is committed to only sourcing seafood that has been harvested in a responsible manner, and believes in supporting not only the fish, but also the fishermen. The mission is twofold: to get more people eating wild, sustainable, traceable and domestic fish, and in doing so preserving the working waterfronts and traditional fishing communities that depend on the resource.
We’re disrupting the broken supply chain to bring the highest standard of wild-caught, sustainable American seafood to discerning chefs and home cooks throughout the United States.
Glad you asked! While the vast majority of seafood sold in the United States is imported from overseas, and often comes from poorly regulated industrial farms, all Sea to Table seafood is wild-caught from sustainable American fisheries. Our home delivery fish is flash-frozen to preserve freshness, and is free of chemicals and preservatives. Plus, it’s delicious.
Wild caught fish is the last commercially viable hunting on Earth. Plus, fish is best when it’s raised by the ocean and grows up in its natural habitat.
Every single Sea to Table fish can be traced back to the dock where it arrived, and in some cases even to the exact boat and captain that reeled it in.
Fishing has a rich tradition in the United States, and U.S. fishing fleets are among the most sustainably managed in the world.
Our partnerships with the Marine Stewardship Council and Seafood Watch ensure that our fish comes from sustainable fisheries.
Fish raised in commercial farms are often subjected to questionable conditions, like overcrowding and manufactured diets. Farms also pose harmful risks to the wild environment that surrounds them. Fish that grown in their true, wild ocean environment mature naturally, and to their full potential.
No Hormones or GMOs
In the interest of efficiency, many fish farms raise their fish on low-quality feed that can follow the seafood to your plate.
Sacrificing safety for volume production, most farms use antibiotics to grow fish regardless of the damage to humans and our environment.
Never Processed Overseas
The majority of seafood caught and landed in the U.S. is exported overseas for processing, due to cheaper labor and less regulatory oversight. Our fish stick close to the rivers and the oceans they’re used to — and are never sent on long international trips. All of Sea to Table’s seafood is processed in U.S., returning more value to and securing jobs in traditional fishing communities.

All of the fish we ship to home delivery customers has been frozen at peak freshness. This is a critical step in killing any potential parasites. Nonetheless, all seafood, regardless of the source or how it’s treated, may contain bacteria that could cause illness if mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, the fish should be kept frozen until you intend to prepare it and used within 2-3 days once defrosted. Always keep the fish either refrigerated or frozen, and keep it separated from other foods you might be working with. Wash all working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils and hands after touching raw seafood. Cook thoroughly and refrigerate leftovers immediately after your meal.
Your order is packed in an eco-friendly insulation and plenty of dry ice to ensure it stays frozen during transit. In the rare occasion that the delivery is delayed due to weather or a FedEx mix up, we assure you that any fish that starts to thaw in transit is safe to eat as long as it feels cold to the touch. We do not recommend re-freezing the fish once it thaws.
At this time, we only ship within the United States (apart from Alaska and Hawaii).
All of our fish is frozen at peak freshness, individually vacuum sealed and wrapped in butcher paper. We then pack it with an eco-friendly insulation and plenty of dry ice to ensure it stays frozen and maintains its pristine quality and delicious flavor while it’s on its way to your door.
We use a sustainable recyclable insulation and dry ice to ensure your fish stays frozen during transit.

We’re committed to preserving the beauty of our planet and oceans. Every part of this package can be recycled safely and easily. Cut or rip open the insulation to separate the plastic liner from the recycled plant material inside. The lining can be recycled as #4 plastic. The filling can be composted or will decompose naturally within a year if placed in the trash. Simply break down the cardboard box and drop it in paper recycling.

The sad truth is that much of the “fresh” fish you find at your local grocery store has been sitting out for days, and maybe even frozen and refreshed again. Sea to Table works with boats and docks that freeze their catch at the peak of freshness, either while still out at sea or immediately upon returning to the dock. Our home delivery fish remains frozen until you take it out of your freezer to defrost, giving you that right out of the water quality.
Move fish, in packaging, to refrigerator 8-10 hours before you plan to cook. Once defrosted, remove from package, drain any excess liquid, and pat fish dry with a paper towel.
